Images of the dust tail of comet Halley were obtained with the ESO wide-field CCD camera during April 1986 with the Johnson B, V and R filters in polarized light. A preliminary analysis of selected images taken on April 6 and 11, processed for photometric analysis, is presented. Results are given for the absolute brightness, the color, the polarization and its variation with wavelength.
