Our goal is to measure the masses of low mass pre-main sequence stars dynamically. This is important because there are still no low mass young stars with reliably known masses. We have begun this program by using the FGS to map the orbits of close separation young star binaries in Taurus. In order to measure the orbits of the systems with the smallest separations, and hence those uniquely observable by the HST and having the shortest periods, we propose to continue the observations in Taurus and also to extend the program to 3 systems in Ophiuchus.
