We propose to obtain SNAP images of the host galaxies of Type Ia
supernovae discovered by the Calan/Tololo and q_0 surveys. The B images
{in the host galaxy rest frame} will be used to study the correlation of
galaxian type with intrinsic supernova luminosity and to locate the
supernovae in general environmental structures in the galaxy.
