The COMPTEL experiment on the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory operates in the energy range of .75-30 MeV. Prior to the launch of CGRO, the spectrum of at least one black hole candidate (Cygnus X-1) had been observed several times extending to these energies. Amongst these observations, there is evidence for emission extending beyond the extrapolated inverse Compton spectrum which is normally invoked to explain the x-ray spectrum. This excess MeV emission suggests some very interesting physics which may be unique to black hole binary systems. Since the COMPTEL sensitivity is optimized for this energy range, COMPTEL is an ideal tool for studying this emission. Since the time of the CGRO launch, COMPTEL has collected data on several black hole candidates. At least two of them have been clearly detected - Cygnus X-1 and Nova Persei 1992 (also known as GRO J0422+32). Cygnus X-1 has been observed on two ocassions (in June and August of 1991). Nova Persei was observed for several weeks after its outburst in August, 1992. Here we shall report on the latest results from an analysis of these data.
