The main argument of this work is that the very low mass stars lose mass due to rotation by spending a large part of their evolution at critical rotation. Thus, when moving from solar Z to the first stellar generations in the Universe, the radiatively driven wind mass loss may decrease in relative importance with respect to rotationally induced mass loss, which are enriched in helium and CNO elements by internal rotational mixing. Observations of the extremely metal poor stars, of ω Cen and of the N/O ratios at low metallicity tend to support this view.
