In this paper it is shown that the Brans-Dicke theory, for a special case, is conformally invariant. For the case that the energy-momentum tensor of matter is zero, i.e., for particlelike solutions, an explicit solution for the scalar field φ and for the metric tensor is found. Imposing certain natural boundary conditions leads to the result that, far away, the net effect of this solution is to appear as a particle which has a discrete mass spectrum and an event horizon which is less than the ordinary Schwarzschild radius.
