We study the transition from hadron matter to quark matter in the presence of a gas of trapped electron and muon neutrinos. We show that trapped neutrinos make the densities of hadron matter deconfinement noticeably higher than in the case in which neutrinos are not present. We discuss the possible consequences of this effect in supernova explosions and protoneutron star evolution.
