The paper discusses global short-period oscillations of the active regions of the sun, with a characteristic time of the order of tens of minutes. The motion of spots occurs in a regular way and indicates the presence of torsional oscillations of the sun and associated meridional flow of matter. An analysis is presented of the anomalous kinematics behavior of solar active regions at the end of the 11-year 20th cycle, probably associated with a thermonuclear explosion in the core. It is found that the anomaly described did not have much of an effect on the 11-year curve of Wolf numbers.
