A study of the dynamics of an electron beam injected in the vicinity of a satellite in the ionosphere has shown that the electrical field of the charged satellite has a noticeable effect on both the dynamics and geometry of the beam electrons. The electron beam potential and field distributions are determined near the injection point and in the region of maximum beam expansion with allowance for various distribution functions of charged plasma particles.
