This proposal defines the procedure for determining, in the most stringent manner possible, the short-term photometric stability of the HSP. Using the UV1 IDT in the digital mode of operation, it will determine whether any system in ST or the HSP (mechanical or electrical) introduces extraneous white (frequency independent) noise or small amplitude periodicities into the observations at a level of one part in 24,000. This procedure will also satisfy the relevant Contract End Item (CEI) specification regarding photometric accuracy. Revision status: Mark Slovak 11/03/88 Translated to V2 instructions, Sally Laurent 2/16/89 Updated: Sally Laurent 3/2/89, 5/13/89; Fixes for aberration problem - SALM 7/30/90; Changed detector to UV1, target from G star to A star-- BJW 4/2/91; Update description of proposal--BJW 4/5/91;
