We are developing a precise technique for iron isotope analysis that
uses 'cool' plasma ICPMS. Four bulk samples of chondritic meteorites
analyzed by this method give similar 56Fe/54Fe and 58Fe/54Fe ratios as
iron measured in a terrestrial basalt.
