ASCA data showed NGC 3516 to have a broad and redshifted Fe Ka line with an absorption feature at absorption feature at 5.8 keV. We took an HETG observation to confirm the presence of the 5.8 keV feature. The absorption feature is important as it could supply a high velocity in-fall of some material, this rarely observed in AGN. The HETG data will also be used to make a detailed study of the ionized gas around the nucleus of this AGN.
