We propose a sensitive spectral survey of the nuclear region of the nearby Luminous Infrared Galaxy NGC1365. Using the whole receiver range of the Mopra telescope, we anticipate to detect all detectable molecular transitions in this range. These detections will be interpreted using extensive physical and chemical modeling of the whole ensemble of lines and including the use of isotope ratios, in order to arrive at an accurate description of the integrated nuclear environment. In particular, this diagnostic approach will describe the optical depths, the densities, and the radiation fields in the medium and will allow the establishment of dominant temperature gradients.
