After a decade of design, development and construction the ATLAS Liquid
Argon Calorimeter system is at an advanced stage. Construction is almost
complete, and installation in the cryostat system is underway. I discuss
some aspects of these devices with special emphasis on recent beam
testing of the Forward Calorimeter and planned system tests.
