The surface albedo contrast variables are related to vegetation
reflectance characteristics in addition to thermal information in the
portion of Europe of interest to the author (Brittany, France) and are
used as an example. An optimized multispectral technique, applied to
NOAA - TIROS daytime image processing is explained.
