Following the approach made for general strings we derive the equations of motion for isotropic membranes with an arbitrary relation between the tension τ and energy per unit area ɛ. Averaging out small scale structures put isotropically on the membrane, we obtain the renormalized τ and ɛ for both transverse and longitudinal wiggles to lowest order in wiggle density. The fixed point of RG equations, i.e., the equation of state which is invariant under the change of wiggliness, is sought for and its implications are discussed.
