Measurements are presented, made on March 24, 1991 over the Kodaikanal, showing that, around sunset, the Doppler velocity of F-region reflections at vertical incidence is influenced by MHD waves, the magnetic effects of which were detected on the ground and tentatively identified as Psc5 micropulsations. The observed Doppler velocity oscillations are attributed to fluctuations in vertical plasma drift induced by the zonal component of time-varying electric fields associated with the magnetic pulsations.
