A measurement of the absolute sensitivity of the FOS detectors will be performed using a UV standard star. The highest priority gratings will be used in the 4.3 arcsec aperture. Measurement of aperture throughput ratio will be made with three representative spectral elements for the apertures expected to be most commonly used in Cycle 3. A four stage peakup of the standard star should provide excellent centering in the small apertures. The switch to the second side followed by the peakup in the 0.3 aperture determines an accurate measure of the separation of the blue and red side apertures in the focal plane with no extra expenditure of observing time. Two stars will be observed. Aperture throughput will be determined on one star only.
