We propose to use the Planetary Camera to search for young and intermediate-age globular clusters in NGC 3610. High resolution and relatively high S/N images in three passbands (approximately B, V, and R) will be used to study the spatial, size, luminosity, and color distributions of candidate globular clusters in these three galaxies. When combined with our Cycle 2 observations of one ongoing merger (NGC 4038/4039 = "The Antennae") and one 0.5-1 Gyr old merger remnant (NGC 7252), this sample should allow us to estimate the fraction of young globular clusters formed in major mergers relative to the older, premerger population of globular clusters.
