Interfacial tension and buoyancy driven flow in two coaxial cylindrical liquid columns are studied. Parabolic temperature profile applied on the outer liquid boundary results in both horizontal and vertical temperature gradients which lead to buoyancy and interfacial tension driven convections in both liquids. The interaction of buoyant and thermocapillary flow gives rise to different flow patterns and asymmetric distribution of interfacial velocity and interfacial deformation.
