High temperature CNO cycle burning was studied. An overabundance of both O-17 and O-18 after times of approximately 100 seconds was observed. For temperatures of 150 and 200 million degree O-18 abundance was much larger than O-17 abundance after burning times of about 1000 seconds. Effects of mixing amounts of hydrogen rich material into the intershell convection region of red giants undergoing helium shell flashes were examined. A neutron number density in the intershell region indicated an intermediate neutron process may operate in evolved red giants.
