We test the possibility of winds blowing from hot H-He flrst stars, driven by either line or continuum processes. Because the material in the atmospheres of first stars is mostly ionized, the radiative force is too small to accelerate the wind. The radiative force due to the continuum transitions is also not able to drive a wind. We study the possibility of expulsion of individual heavier elements from the atmosphere, and the influence of the radiative force on the circumstellar environment of flrst stars. It is shown that some of these stars may have winds if their atmospheres are enriched by CNO elements. We also discuss the implications of our results in the evolution of Pop III stars and for models of the reionization of the Universe.
