Three sections of Ovid's Metamorphoses are examined, providing further
information on meteoric beliefs in ancient Roman times. These include
meteoric imagery among the portents associated with the death of Julius
Caesar, which we mentioned previously from the works of William
Shakespeare (McBeath and Gheorghe, 2003b).
