The rotation of the polarization plane of an electromagnetic wave due to a gravitational field is studied. An evolution law for the polarization plane is derived in the geometric optics approximation. For the particular case of a Kerr space-time, the polarization plane rotation is obtained for an incident light ray parallel to the Z axis at z equals negative infinity and for a radially outgoing one. The results are compared with others which have already appeared in the literature.
