We propose to identify the globular cluster systems of the seven brightest Sculptor Group members with the CTIO 4-m telescope, Mosaic camera, and CMRI filter set. Based on their luminosities, each galaxy is expected to contain ≳15 globular clusters. The high image quality of the 4-m and our filter set will provide excellent discrimination of clusters and contaminating objects. Combined with a follow-up spectroscopic study, these observations will investigate the origin of the globular cluster systems of galaxies smaller than the Milky Way. In particular, we will address whether the clusters predominantly formed in a disk, like the LMC, or in a halo, like M33.
