The most intense variations of the properties of a neutrino beam are possible in a broad energy range under adiabatic conditions. The adiabaticity condition is discussed and relationships describing neutrino oscillations in the adiabatic regime are derived. The divergence of neutrino packets in matter is examined and a geometric representation of neutrino oscillations is described.
