We have measured the reaction ^32S(p,d)^31S to explore the level structure of ^31S above the ^30P + p threshold relevant for the ^30P(p,γ)^31S reaction, which is found to play a crucial role in the synthesis of heavier nuclear species, from Si to Ca, in nova outbursts on ONe White Dwarfs .At nova temperatures, the ^30P(p,γ)^31S rate is most likely dominated by a few individual nuclear resonances and there are ten resonances known in the ^31S excitation energy range of interest. While the energies of these levels are known, the spins and parities are (except for two levels) unknown. To improve our knowledge of these levels, we bombarded a ZnS target with 32 MeV protons and measured deuterons in the SIDAR silicon strip detector array. Results of our data analysis, and the implication for the ^30P(p,γ)^31S reaction rate, will be presented.
