A microwave patch event observed with the 2.6-3.8 GHz spectrometer of Beijing Astronomical Observatory (BAO) on 12 June 1998 is described in detail in this paper. The patches show high flux densities, high polarization degree, extremely narrow bandwidth, and high spectral indexes. These observational characteristics may suggest that the favored emission mechanism is plasma or maser emission rather than gyrosynchrotron emission.
