A series of escarpments along the upland/lowland contact of Deuteronilus
Mensae, Mars, were analyzed for their fractal dimensions. The
escarpments have fractal dimensions ranging from 1.20 to 1.25, nearly
identitical to fractals found in Earth shorelines.
