DOES the universe contain equal amounts of matter and antimatter? Unless
one invokes an asymmetric initial condition, charge symmetry follows
from the conservation of baryons. An asymmetric initial condition cannot
be ruled out, however, and in fact is postulated in the standard version
of the big-bang cosmology.
