The T-Tauri stars have first been recognized by Joy (1945/49) as a special class of variable stars which show pronounced emission lines and are associated with dark cloud complexes. They are currently considered as pre-main-sequence stars with an age of about 1,000,000 years. According to spectroscopic criteria, all YY-Ori stars which are presently known belong to the T-Tauri stars. Photometric data of the 15 known YY-Ori stars are presented in a table. Attention is given to the spectral characteristics of the stars, the model of a YY-Ori star, the causes of the UV excess, the frequency of an occurrence of YY-Ori stars among the T-Tauri stars, and the state of development of the T-Tauri stars.
