Flare activities in an active region of NOAA 6659 were observed on the sun in June 1991. Three white-light flares were observed on June 4, 9, and 11. Data obtained show that two kinds of white-light brightenings were found: impulsive patches with a time scale of several tens of seconds, and the more stable patches moving together with the H-alpha ribbons.
