Based upon the aberration of starlight, an attempt is made to explain the experimental facts of importance concerning the special theory of relativity. This paper shows how we can find in the aberration effect a phenomenological explanation of special relativity physics. It is demonstrated that the usual concepts of time and simultaneity, in contrast to the currently accepted view, are natural for describing special relativity physics.
