Scientific paper

The absolute motion of the earth is studied. The movement of the Milky Way, Virgo supercluster, and neighboring superclusters towards the Southern Cross is examined; reasons for the southward movement of objects are proposed. The rotation of the earth around the sun, and the relation between rotation and inertia are analyzed. Consideration is given to the shifting of stars, the redshift-distance relation, the expanding universe, and Hubble's constant.
