A method is developed for calculating the correlation matrix of the components of the ground field according to a given energy distribution function of whistler waves with respect to directions in the ionosphere. It is shown that the structure of the field of VLF emissions arriving at the ground from an extended ionospheric region is determined by characteristics of the earth-ionosphere waveguide.
