Scientific paper

Results for the production of W-bosons in conjunction with up to three jets
including parton shower corrections are presented and compared to recent LHC
data. These results consistently incorporate the full next-to-leading order QCD
corrections through the MC@NLO method, as implemented in the Sherpa event
generator, with the virtual corrections obtained from the BlackHat library.
