VLBI maps of eleven sources from the Bologna low frequency variability survey are presented. It is found that, for almost all of the sources, a close correspondence exists between the VLBI structure at 608 MHz and that visible on VLBI maps at higher frequencies. For some of the sources this VLBI structure possesses an obvious relationship to structure visible on arcsecond scales. The structure of these sources is considered to be intrinsic, rather than produced by diffractive or refractive scattering phenomena.
