Our ATCA program (C1549) is currently monitoring ~50 BL Lac objects for the signatures of jet precession (sinusoidal changes in the flux density and polarisation position angle of the radio emission from the nucleus). Thus far, we have confirmed jet precession in one object, PKS 0003-066, using our ATCA measurements and high resolution VLBI observations from the VLBA (Horiuchi et al. 2006, ApJ, submitted). The combination of ATCA monitoring and VLBI imaging is powerful for detecting jet precession. Here we request LBA observations of 12 BL Lac objects that have never been observed with VLBI or are little-studied, being among the best candidate jet precession sources in our sample, from a combination of new and archival (e.g. C540) ATCA data. We wish to image the high resolution structures of these sources in order to determine if continued monitoring is likely to result in the detection of jet precession.
