A calculation of the continuum emission integrated over the solar disk, and of its perturbations arising from different nonradial pulsation modes, is presented. In addition to geometrical effects (variations of the emitting areas) and Planck function variations, the influence of opacity changes in H- (the principal absorber at the wavelengths under consideration) is examined. The computations are carried out numerically for 500 and 826 nanometers, which correspond to different channels of the IPHIR/PHOBOS experiment. The relative importance of these different processes of flux modulation is discussed as a function of oscillation period and modal type.
