Results of measurements of vertical neutral-gas velocities obtained on the basis of the Doppler shift of the green oxygen line are presented. It is shown that wind with a velocity up to 50 m/s predominates in the high-latitude thermosphere under quiet geomagnetic conditions. A periodicity in wind direction was noted during the measurement period, and discrete arcs were found to have an effect on the wind pattern.
