Accurate temperature and pressure measurements were accomplished during
the whole descent of the Vega 2 lander. Temperature and pressure near
the surface are 733K and 89.3 bar respectively. Strong temperature
inversion in the upper troposphere is found. A few layers with different
static stability are observed in the atmosphere.
