The location of the planetary bow shocks provides information on the nature of the planetary obstacle to the solar wind flow. The bow shock heats the solar wind and deflects it around the planetary obstacle. Previous studies have examined the solar cycle dependence of the Venus bow shock. The Venus bow shock location is affected by solar EUV radiation, Mach number and interplanetary magnetic field orientation. In this paper, we determine the Venus shock bow location crossings at solar minimum using magnetic field measurements obtained from magnetometer onboard the Venus Express mission to determine how completely the solar wind is deflected. The best-fit bow shock location will be compared with earlier PVO observations at higher solar zenith angles.
