The low-energy theorem and the vector-dominance model is used to derive the vector-meson exchange current in terms of pion photoproduction amplitudes. The corresponding correction to the Gamow-Teller matrix element for the triton β decay is found to be of the same order of magnitude as the correction due to the pion exchange current. [RADIOACTIVITY 3H, calculated Gamow-Teller matrix element.]
