A Brewer spectrophotometer was operated at Thumba, India to measure the total column content of ozone during 10 March-23 May 1990. Diurnal variation with a minimum during the noon period has been observed throughout the operational period. While the pattern of this variation remained the same, the amplitude varied from day to day ranging from 4 to 12 D.U., representing a change of 1.6-4% in total ozone. The daily average values show a seasonal increase from a value of 265 to 280 D.U. during this period and exhibit a periodicity of about 27 days.
