Extended periods of relativistic electron intensity at geosynchronous orbit (GEO) can create severe deep-charging hazards for satellites. Several empirical models have been developed over the last fifteen years to predict electron flux levels. In more recent years, physics-based models have been developed to not only calculate fluxes at GEO but everywhere inside the magnetosphere. We validate one of these models, the Radiation Belt Environment (RBE) model (Fok et al., 2005, Fok et al., 2008, Fok et al., 2010). Multiple versions are analyzed and compared to investigate the improvements made to the model and how well they compared to measured data.
