The contribution of massive fields to the vacuum polarization effects
near a rotating black hole is discussed. The vacuum energy-momentum
tensor and the vacuum polarization corrections to the mass and angular
momentum of a black hole are obtained for massive fields when their
Compton length is much less than the size of the event horizon.
