The FU Ori object V1057 Cyg, a pre-main sequence circumstellar disk in an outburst of rapid accretion, has been fading substantially over the last two years, and is approaching its pre-outburst brightness. Spectral changes have occurred at a surprisingly rapid rate. Thus, V1057 Cyg represents a unique opportunity to again test the accretion disk model and to probe the physics of disk outbursts by comparing the observations with the predictions of thermal instability models. We request an optical echelle spectrum with HYDRA in order to continue our monitoring observations of this object.
