the glass ceramic Zerodur is reported. The goal of this study was to
find the most economical way to produce a lightweighted blank of Zerodur
with a diameter of 8 m, a radius of curvature of 32 m, a center
thickness of 0.4 m, and a total mass of 15000 kg.
