In the present paper, a new mathematical method is established to obtain the square matrices corresponding to the angular momentum and Runge-Lenz vector operators. By using square matrices, we obtained the energy levels of hydrogen atom. As a result, we unified the descriptions of the matrix mechanics and the wave mechanics on hydrogen atom. On the basis of this approach, we showed that the SO(4,2) group representation was irrelevant to the symmetry of hydrogen atomic system.
