Dynamic spectra of five type II radio bursts detected with the IZMIRAN spectrograph over the frequency range from 45 to 90 MHz are analyzed. The main peculiarity of these bursts is shown to be emission drift from low to high frequencies. It is proposed that the bursts were produced by shock waves which originated as a result of flarelike processes within a neutral current sheet high in the corona and which initially propagated toward the solar surface.
